On september 17 a new version of CompactCMS was released (1.4.1). See below for the most important changes since 1.4.0

Note to current users

Please be aware that CompactCMS 1.4.1 has changed significantly since previous versions in file structure. If your current website runs smooth and reliable, there is no need to upgrade. If you would like to implement 1.4.1 over 1.4.0, it is recommended to do a clean install.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but I'm confident that the new format is again an improvement in regard to the previous format.
